Free Leadership + Business Diagnostic

What’s actually creating the ceiling?

Most leaders keep trying to solve the visible problem. This diagnostic looks underneath it. First, you’ll identify your primary and secondary C.O.D.E. leadership growth areas. Then you can assess the business itself to see where execution, people, systems, strategy, or growth may be getting constrained.

PART ONE · THE LEADER · Answer for how you actually operate under pressure, not how you wish you did.

1. I can name the pattern I default to under pressure before I'm already in it.

2. I address difficult conversations before resentment, confusion, or performance issues build.

3. The way I spend my week reflects the priorities I say matter most.

4. I hold my boundaries even when someone is disappointed or pushes back.

5. I notice the physical signs that I am stressed, activated, or moving from urgency.

6. I take responsibility for my decisions without automatically taking responsibility for everyone else's reactions.

7. The business has clear priorities, roles, and expectations instead of relying on people to just know what matters.

8. After a hard decision or difficult day, I can recover without carrying it into everything that follows.

9. When something triggers me, I usually react first and understand why later.

10. I can receive feedback without becoming defensive, over-explaining, or immediately trying to fix how I am perceived.

11. My systems still work when the business gets busy or when I am not personally holding every detail together.

12. I follow through on the leadership move I know is right even when it feels uncomfortable.

13. I can tell the difference between a true business emergency and my own sense of urgency.

14. I avoid holding people accountable because I do not want to create tension or be seen as difficult.

15. We use meaningful numbers, checkpoints, or scorecards to know whether the business is actually moving forward.

16. Under pressure, I fall back into old habits even when I know they are no longer serving me.

What this can look like

What it can cost

This is the part a score alone can’t tell you.

Your primary area tells us where the pressure is showing up. Your secondary area often tells us what keeps feeding it. Looking at those two together is where the coaching conversation gets much more useful.

PART TWO · THE BUSINESS

Now let’s see whether the business is reinforcing the same pattern.

This section looks at the actual operating environment around you. Answer based on what is consistently true today. If you do not have employees, answer team questions based on contractors, partners, or the people you rely on to deliver the work.
